Your footsteps echoed till the end of the darkest hall
Empty, almost dark, but shallow
your presence perceive my thoughts of a story
a story of a broken and darkest path
a path where you used to walk through

tittle-tattles
silently bawled through my ears
among those whispers, it saddens upon my chest

I would wrench it instead

forswear oneself, myself
crumbled into tiny bits of questions
those I could never answer
sincerity, lies beneath those lips
grapples to comprehend
myself.

lie through one’s teeth and you will be forever my agony
striking through these vibes of unknown fondness
guilty by what has been spoken yesteryears

leaving wounds opened
but then again
you, yourself is a remedy
a remedy

I once loved a man who wouldn’t want to see me be with a friend nearby. I never wonder why.

I once loved a man who wouldn’t want me be selfishly ignorant. I never wonder why.

I once loved a man who wouldn’t want me to be far away from. I never wonder why.

I once loved a man who would always be there whenever I wanted him to be. I never wonder why.

I once loved a man who always yearned to hear my voice every single day. I never wonder why.

I once loved a man who always appreciated the times we had whenever we meet. I never wonder why.

Of all those, I never thought of it and devoured it selfishly.

. . . . and, it all ended. I took those negatively, never wanted to see or appreciate why he would do so.

Then I tried to erase what’s been done.

I found another.

Those things are coming back to me, oppositely. How ironic.
